Born in 1987 in the village of Ringaudai (Kaunas district) in the family of teachers Janina and Jonas Vaideliai. In 2010, Vaidelys was got a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry at the Lithuanian University of Agriculture and in 2012 he obtained a Master's degree in Forestry. In 2012 - 2016 he studied doctoral studies in the field of forestry science at Aleksandras Stulginskis University. He is currently a lecturer at the Institute of Forest Biology and Silviculture at the Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy.

Hobby - managing personal dendrological collection, collecting vinyl records.

Research interests: the peculiarities of the growth of local tree species in the types of urban greenery; opportunities for walnut species cultivation in Lithuania; biodiversity of mushrooms in Lithuanian forests; research on the most common pathogens in Lithuanian forests; research on the most common pathogens in Lithuanian urban green spaces; the immediate impact of forest fires on woody plants; prescribed burns in the regulation of species composition of woody plants.

Active Scientific Topics:

1. Morphological research of leaves of walnuts (butternut, heartnut and manchurian walnuts);

2. Morphological research of leaves of native tree species growing in Kaunas city greenery.

MAŽVYDAS KRIVICKAS
Graduate student at the faculty of Forest Sciences and Ecology at the Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy

Born in Šiauliai in 1996. In 2015 acquired secondary education at Šiauliai Vocational Education and Training Center, and since the same year he has been studying forestry at the Faculty of Forestry and Ecology at Vytautas Magnus university.

 

Hobby. I enjoy traveling very much, I like hitchhiking, getting to know new people, interested in cultures, cities and nature of different countries. I am interested in investing. I like sport especially handball, running, bodybuilding.

 

 

Research interests: the prevalence and biology of grey willow and purple willow.

Graduate student at the faculty of Forest Sciences and Ecology at the Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy

Born on August 24, 1995 in Zarasai. In 2015 acquired secondary education at Zarasai Ąžuolas gymnasium, and since the same year he has been studying forestry at the Faculty of Forestry and Ecology at Vytautas Magnus university.

 

 

Leisure is a pleasure to spend actively. I am a big basketball fan. Also enjoy spending time in nature, taking a walk in the forest, fishing or just walking in the mornings with a dog.

 

 

Research interests: Butternuts cultivation  in Lithuania.

 

 

Active scientific topic: Container size influence on the quality of butternut seedlings.

Auksė Jankauskaitė
Graduate student at the faculty of Forest Sciences and Ecology at the Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy

Born on June 1, 1996 in Kaunas. In 2015 acquired secondary education at Balys Buračas gymnasium in Karmėlava, and since the same year she has been studying forestry at the Faculty of Forestry and Ecology at Vytautas Magnus university.

I like to spend my free time actively in nature, horseback riding and skiing. I especially enjoy interesting active trips. I love animals very much. I raise two dogs with whom we also spend a lot of time walks in nature, in city parks.

Research interests: Honeysuckle prevalence, growth characteristics, common diseases and pests.

Active scientific topic: Prevalence and biology of honeysuckle in the Kamša Botanical and Zoological Reserve.

Jonas Jasaitis
Former student of the Faculty of Forests and Ecology of VMU Academy of Agriculture

He was born on December 6, 1997 in Taurage. After graduating from Tauragė "Versmės" gymnasium, he chose the biomedical profile and received  secondary education and entered ASU forestry studies, but after joining the universities, the final diploma award was already made as a Vytautas Magnus University student.

In my free time I choose fishing, and I also love birds, so when possible, I take care, train and try to understand the psychology of chickens. I also do not refuse to play football in a friendly way, ride bicycles, travel by car to various extraordinary places, and roam the cliffs. I like to draw, create poems and poetry. There is a desire to pursue a musical career in the future.

 

Research interests: Rotting fungi; Tree diseases and their symptoms; Peculiarities of the spread of rot-causing fungi and preventive factors.

He was born on December 17, 1997 in Kaunas. In 2016, he graduated from Antanas Smetona Gymnasium and from the same year studied forestry at the Faculty of Forestry and Ecology in Agriculture Academy of Vytautas Magnus University.

 

 

Leisure - I like to be in nature, travel, I know exotic animals especially reptiles, I raise several reptiles. I also like to spend my free time actively, play volleyball, play sports or do other sports.

 

Research interests: Prevalence and biology of Fomes fomentarius.

Active scientific topic: Prevalence and biology of Fomes fomentarius in the forest of Paryžinė.

Laurynas Matulis
Former student of the Faculty of Forests and Ecology of VMU Academy of Agriculture

He was born on December 23, 1997 in Utena. After graduating from Utena "Saulė" gymnasium, after choosing a biomedical profile and receiving a secondary education, he entered ASU forestry studies, but joining the universities, the final awarding of the diploma was already as a Vytautas Magnus University student.

 

The biggest hobby is being near the water. I give priority to fishing, which is rapidly changing from amateur to sport. Leisure also dictates the circle of best friends with whom we spend the summer by the river or lakes playing beach volleyball or engaging in amateur water sports. I grew up surrounded by lakes, so maybe my hobbies are like that. I also like to walk in the woods.

My favorite walks during mushroom germination are when you pass more than one kilometer on the forested shores of Aukštaitija lakes.

 

Research interests: Prevalence and morphology of the pathogenic fungus Chalara fraxinea.

Active scientific topic: The status of the undergrowth of the ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.) of the Troškūnai forest district of the Anykščiai regional unit of the SFE under the influence of the pathogen Chalara fraxinea.
